Which of your data are collected?

When you visit this site:

Access data are collected and stored for statistical purposes (the date and time of your visit, your browser type and operating system, the pages you visited and from where you were referred, as well as the IP address that you were surfing from). Your IP address is however anonymised by not storing the last block of digits.

On the basis of information provided by you on our webseite:

• on the contact form: your message and your e-mail address;
• if you register for an event: forename and surname, your postal and e-mail addresses;
• if you order publications from us: What you are ordering as well as your forename and surname, your postal and e-mail addresses;
• if you sign up for our newsletter: your e-mail address.

These are all the data that we collect.

How do we collect your data?

We use "Matomo" to assess activities on the website, and we place temporary cookies.

What do we use your data for?

• only to provide and optimise our website, as well as to make it secure;
• with your permission, to enable us to receive your messages, to answer them and to process any orders that you may place.

We do not use your data…

• for profiling,
• and also not for advertising purposes.

We absolutely do not pass your data on to third parties, except:

• to provide publications, when we provide the sender with your address data, and
• when asserting legal interests, particularly if the data are linked to an attack on our IT structure.

Your rights:

• Information: All users are entitled to be informed on request about what data have been stored concerning them.
• Erasure: Users are entitled to have their data erased if they may no longer be stored.
• Correction: Should it emerge that data stored concerning a user are incorrect, they are entitled to have them corrected.
• Objection: Ask our Data Protection Commissioner, who is your port of call.

Using cookies:

Cookies are also used on our pages to display and confirm the banners, as well as when publications are ordered, and these are valid for the duration of your visit to the website. This is necessary for technical reasons to display the banner, and for the Basket function to work. Most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. You can however deactivate cookie storage at any time or set your browser to only store cookies whilst the current Internet connection is in operation.

If you use a browser add-on that blocks ads and trackers, i.e. an Ad Blocker or Tracking Blocker like AdBlock Plus, uBlock Origin or similar, we will naturally respect this, and will not make any attempts whatever to conceal the use of such tools on our website or to prevent the program working by other means.
